OVERLEA-PERRY HALL POST #130

DID YOU KNOW?

The first Treasurer's Report at the Post Home located at 7523 Bel Air Road showed

a balance of $1.27.

That JIM CLOMAN was the youngest person ever elected as Commander of a LEGION

POST worldwide.  He was elected as Post 130 Commander at age 23 on June 23, 1947.

That SILVER LAKE DRIVE came within a hairsbreath of being named AMERICAN LEGION

DRIVE.

Post 130 once had an active Junior Legion baseball program.  Our program was the only one                                                        nationwide to have two graduates play for the same major league team.

At the Department Convention in 1983 (during EUGENE MCKENNA'S Administration), Post 130

was awarded 7 of 9 possible trophies for legion programs.
